Foods To Eat To Avoid Constipation

The signs of constipation are easy to spot - long hours in the toilet, difficulty and uneasiness releasing, sweating and headaches during the "deed", etc. Having an irregular bowel schedule is sometimes a cause for constipation symptoms to strike. However, most of the symptoms are often attributed to poor eating habits, stress and sedentary lifestyles. Very often, constipation treatments start with a simple change of food preferences.

Start to eat more foods that are rich in fiber. When it comes to treating constipation, dietary fibers

from fruits and vegetables are the better choice compared to the fibers found in grains. To be clear, both are considered healthy in their own respect. In addition, fresh fruits are the better choice compared to the canned and preserved ones. As to the veggies, cooking them half-way helps in preserving their vitamin and mineral contents.

What foods are good for the constipated?
Apples, avocado, bananas, beans, broccoli, grapes, lansones, prunes, celery stalks, green and leafy vegetables, legumes, nuts, carrots, squash, tomatoes.

Try to eat at least 25-30g of fibers daily. Check your diet now and see if you're already getting this much. Most often, people on the go tend to eat only 5-10mg of fiber in the daily diets and more

of the fatty, oil foods that should be avoided. Try changing to this new habit. It will not only help you improve your bowel movement; you will also be detoxifying your body in the process.

Caution: Fiber is a two-edged sword. It can greatly improve your fecal issues or worsen them. Too much fiber without enough water in the body may lead to constipation as well since the fiber will be absorbing whatever liquid in the body which may result to hard or no fecal discharge. This may even lead to hemorrhoids.

To avoid this in happening, make sure that you drink enough water or liquids as you improving your fiber intake. 6-8 glasses of water and juices would be an excellent standpoint.
